Sacha Baron Cohen enlists Borat to defend Ali G: Who Iz I?

Sacha Baron Cohen seems to be playing the hits, and then playing other hits to defend his other hits. Not only is he bringing back Ali G after 20 years of (mostly) not using him, but he’s brought Borat back in the latest trailer for Ali G: Who Iz I? As far as we know, Borat won’t be in this movie, but he’s here in a half-cheeky, half-serious attempt to downplay some of the backlash the new Ali G has already received across the pond. Borat says the movie is not racist as it’s being made out to be (which he finds disappointing). But Borat isn’t the only character from the Baron Cohen vault to return for Who Iz I?; also returning is Erran Morad, Baron Cohen’s Mossad agent character from his Showtime series Who Is America?, who’s here to teach some kind of self-defense class to a room full of MAGA guys. We suppose we’ll see how that goes.
