All Dogs gets messy in the video for “Sunday Morning”
Over the past few years, Maryn Jones has become central to Columbus, Ohio’s music scene. Whether she’s performing under the Yowler moniker, playing with the folk-rock act Saintseneca, or penning infectious pop-rock songs for All Dogs, she’s bound not by genre, but her own creative desires. With all this creative energy being expelled, it’s only natural that Jones would feel worn down every now and again, a topic she addresses on “Sunday Morning,” a standout from All Dogs’ 2015 debut album Kicking Every Day. The A.V. Club premieres the video for “Sunday Morning” below, which sees the band turn itself into a living, breathing Jackson Pollock painting by the video’s end. It’s fitting how much the song recalls the airy alt-rock of The Sundays, as All Dogs masterfully transform a delicate hook into a crescendo that demands raised fists and voices alike.
