Having become disillusioned with the hideous bitch goddess that is show business, She’s The Man’s Shakespearean thespian Amanda Bynes has declared her retirement from acting at the age of 24, taking to her Twitter feed to announce, “If I don’t love something anymore I stop doing it. I don’t love acting anymore so I’ve stopped doing it. I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first I’ve #retired.” Apparently, Bynes recently came to the realization that her career—beginning with her five-time Nickelodeon’s Kids' Choice Blimp-winning role on All That and continuing through pretty-female-empowerment films like What A Girl Wants and Sydney White—has been some sort of hellish creative gulag, where “I've never written the movies & tv shows I've been apart of I've only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play.” After her upcoming swan song, a supporting role in September’s Emma Stone comedy Easy A, Bynes will be loosed from the theoretical burdens of her ostensibly full schedule to pursue other interests.
