Amazon gets its own dose of Neil Gaiman with a Good Omens series
American Gods is heading to Starz this year, but Amazon also wants a piece of Neil Gaiman. The streaming service announced today that it has ordered a show based on Good Omens, Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s comedic novel about end times. The six-part series, consisting of hour-long installments, will debut in 2018, and is being co-produced by BBC Studios. As Gaiman previously teased, he will be shepherding it entirely on his own, writing all the episodes and serving as showrunner. Last year, Gaiman revealed that even though he had always planned to work on an adaptation with his co-author, Pratchett had given him the go-ahead before his death in 2015.
