America still shunning The Paul Reiser Show
The news continues to worsen for NBC’s The Paul Reiser Show, which dropped 18 percent from its already-dismal, record-setting low debut down to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Overall, Reiser’s return to TV comedy only managed approximately 2.5 million viewers, with nearly a million people tuning out after Community (whose ratings were up from last week) and the numbers even plunging by double digits for The Office. Apparently America just isn’t up for a show about a wealthy, aging famous person complaining about being wealthy, famous, and aging, even one that's intermittently self-aware about how ridiculous that is.
