Seth MacFarlane’s Sunday animation stronghold will remain intact for the foreseeable future, as Fox has just issued a seventh-season renewal to American Dad, guaranteeing it will stay on the air through 2013, so long as there is still air. Though its recent shuffling to make room for Bob’s Burgers (which Fox still hasn’t made up its mind about) seems to have worried some fans that American Dad was on the outs, its underdog status has undoubtedly helped some people realize that it’s usually the sleeper hit of the Animation Domination lineup. But now that it’s a winner again you can go back to finding fault, if that’s your thing.
