29-year-old actor Ayo Edebiri has proven more willing to call out Elon Musk on his bullshit than a good chunk of the American congress. “Just remembering when I got some of the most insane death threats and racial slurs of my life (idk if it’s the #1 moment, but for sure top 3) for a fake reboot of a movie I had never even heard of because of this man,” Edebiri wrote in an Instagram story this week.

The Bear actor is referring to a completely fake “announcement” that Disney was considering her as a replacement for Johnny Depp in an upcoming sixth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie. The X CEO reposted the announcement, from an account called “Unlimited L’s,” to his approximately 219 million followers in February. (The original Unlimited L’s post has since been deleted, but Musk’s message is still up.)

“LMAO,” Edebiri continued, putting an impressively brave face on something as horrifying as an unelected government official inciting his legion of fans to attack a private citizen over something that wasn’t even true in the first place. She continued: “So not only is he double s**g h**l-ing fascist [sic], he’s an idiot… but anyway.”

Edebiri also shouted out fellow Bostonian Bill Burr in her story, with the note “Every time!” and a bullseye emoji. In a recent interview on NPR’s Fresh Air (via Variety), Burr laid into both Musk and what he views as the flaccid liberal resistance. “Liberals have no teeth whatsoever,” Edebiri quoted Burr on her story. “They just go, ‘Oh my God, can you believe this? I’m getting out of the country!’ I’m just like, you’re gonna leave the country because of one guy with dyed hair plugs and a laminated face? Who makes a bad car and has an obsolete social media platform? Why doesn’t he leave? Why are we so afraid of this guy who can’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag?”

Continuing to make lemonade, the Emmy-winning actor then screenshotted a message from a friend who responded to the fake Pirates casting, suggesting that she’d actually “eat this up a lil bit.”

“@waltdisneyfrozenhead wait no DEI, but I’ve changed my mind,” Edebiri wrote. “[M]aybe we could make some money idk lmk.”
