Arbitrarily slapping a new name on established institutions and landmarks out of spite is de rigueur for the current President Donald Trump, so it’s only right that the program that has mined such rich comic ore from him for years would follow suit. In a Tuesday announcement, the Comedy Central series South Park said it would rebrand as South America ahead of its twenty-ninth season premiere. “Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of South Park to SOUTH AMERICA. We especially want to thank our parent company Paramount—a Skydance Capitulation.”
