It’s bitterly cold across great swaths of North America this week, but inside, cuddled up to computer speakers playing the new track from Habibi, it’s nice and tropical. The New York-based girl group’s self-titled new record is out today on Burger Records, and mixes garage rock melodies with Middle Eastern and dissonant sounds. It’s an intriguing mix, and one that’s plainly (and spookily) evident in “I Got The Moves,” streaming below.
