Ben Gibbard announces solo tour, debuts arty new album art

Death Cab For Cutie frontman Benjamin “Ben” Gibbard has announced a tour around his first solo record, due this fall. Former Lives comes out Oct. 16 on Barsuk, and it now has fancy album art created by Joan Hiller. The tour in support of the record begins Oct. 14 in Toronto and will be opened by Advance Base and Damien Jurado. More Pacific Northwest dates should be announced soon.
