Blake Lively's female It Ends With Us co-stars prepared to testify against Justin Baldoni

Lively's latest filing claims a Wayfarer co-founder told a witness he “will protect the studio like Israel protected itself from Hamas."

Blake Lively's female It Ends With Us co-stars prepared to testify against Justin Baldoni

Blake Lively has maintained from the beginning of her It Ends With Us legal dispute that she wasn’t the only woman on set who felt uncomfortable with the behavior of Justin Baldoni or his Wayfarer Studios partner Jamey Heath. Now, she’s formalizing that claim into her lawsuit. In a new filing (per The Hollywood Reporter), Lively’s team states that two other female actors from the set have “given Ms. Lively permission to share the substance of their communications” and “will testify and produce responsive documents in the discovery process.”

The filing claims that these two women came to her separately during the shoot to express concerns about Baldoni, and one of them even reported it to Sony. Baldoni allegedly “acknowledged the complaints in writing at the time. He knew that women other than Ms. Lively also were uncomfortable and had complained about his behavior,” the filing states. The filing also includes texts Lively sent to friends calling Baldoni and Heath “creeps” and saying she went home and “cried” after an “HR nuts” day on set.

“Ms. Lively has filed an amended complaint today that provides significant additional evidence and corroboration of her original claims. That evidence includes previously undisclosed communications involving Ms. Lively, representatives of Sony and Wayfarer, and numerous other witnesses,” her lawyers Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb said in a statement (via THR). “The complaint includes significant contemporaneous evidence that Ms. Lively was not alone in raising allegations of on-set misconduct more than a year before the film was edited; as well as evidence detailing the threats, harassment, and intimidation of not just Ms. Lively, but numerous innocent bystanders that have followed defendants’ retaliatory campaign.”

Lively did not name the other women she references in the suit. Her legal battle has been met with support from many of her It Ends With Us co-stars, including Jenny Slate, who played Baldoni’s sister in the movie. “As Blake Lively’s castmate and friend, I voice my support as she takes action against those reported to have planned and carried out an attack on her reputation. Blake is a leader, loyal friend and a trusted source of emotional support for me and so many who know and love her,” Slate said in a statement in December. “What has been revealed about the attack on Blake is terribly dark, disturbing, and wholly threatening. I commend my friend, I admire her bravery, and I stand by her side.”

In the latest filing, Lively amended her complaint to include a claim of defamation in regards to the repeated attacks from Baldoni’s team since the situation went public. (Notably, a judge had to warn both sides to stop attacking each other in the press after Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman launched a website of “receipts.”) She also moved to add crisis management specialist Jed Wallace and his company as defendants in the case. (Wallace has sued Lively for defamation.)

If you thought this case couldn’t get any more nasty, here’s one last insane detail from Lively’s latest filing. The amended suit alleges that Wayfarer co-founder and billionaire Steve Sarowtiz told a witness that he “will protect the studio like Israel protected itself from Hamas. There were 39,000 dead bodies. There will be two dead bodies when I’m done. Minimum. Not dead, but you’re dead to me. So that kind of dead. But dead to a lot of people.”
