Blue Jean Committee announce summer tour from those jagoffs Hall & Oates

Chicago and Philadelphia have been at odds many times over the years: Hot dogs vs. cheesesteak, Blackhawks vs. Flyers, and now Blue Jean Committee vs. Hall & Oates. The rival blue-eyed soul groups have always had a contentious relationship, but with purported former Blue Jean Committee openers Hall & Oates hitting the road this summer, the Chicago soft-rockers—not a real band, by the way, although the Documentary Now! episode featuring Fred Armisen and Bill Hader is so well done that the uninitiated may believe otherwise—are helping those jagoffs from Philly announce their upcoming tour in a new clip featured on Rolling Stone.

“The minute they hit it big, they just left us in the dust. They don’t talk to us anymore,” reveals Clark Honus (Hader), one half of the Blue Jean Committee and purveyor of denim on denim style.“That’s a real Philly thing to do.” Daryl Hall hasn’t even invited the “Catalina Breeze” singers onto Live At Daryl’s House to jam at the jawn over some hoagies…

Anyway, the “fifth or eighth” best singing duo from the ’70s, Hall & Oates, are currently finishing up their winter tour, and their summer jaunt will begin May 13th in Dallas. Along for the ride this time out will be special guests Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. Tickets go on sale February 12th at Live Nation, just in time to surprise your special lady with some smooth rocking sounds over fondue and pink champagne.
