It’s Benedict Bridgerton’s turn to lead—the Bridgerton series, that is. The fourth season of the flagship Netflix series is still a ways off, but they’ve definitely made some progress getting it in the can. After today’s Season Of Love event in London, the streamer shared 13 first-look images of the new season, as well as a new behind-the-scenes featurette.
Of course, it’ll be a while before we actually see this play out. Season 4 isn’t expected until 2026, and as of September, production was expected to continue until this coming April. That said, we do know a bit about what’s going to happen this season, both because it’s based on a book and because Netflix has told us. In the tradition of Bridgerton, season four will move onto a different focus child. Last season, Benedict pursued a relationship with Lady Arnold and Paul (so Cabaret) before ultimately deciding he didn’t want to be with either of them. “Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down,” Netflix’s Tudum teases of season 4. But at—where else—a masquerade ball, Benedict is entranced with the Lady in Silver, who actually is Sophie, the maid. Yerin Ha was announced in that role back in September. “What drew me to Sophie was that she immediately has obstacles — something that she constantly has to overcome,” Ha told Tudum at the time. “Whether it’s this battle around social status or trying to hide her feelings from Benedict.”
