Carla Gugino joins Tim Robbins and Jack Black in HBO’s The Brink

As we reported previously, The Brink is the brainchild of Jerry Weintraub and Jay Roach, who crafted a pilot HBO liked so much, it ordered it to series only a day after watching it. The story follows a global catastrophe and how it affects three different men in public service: Robbins; Black, who plays a foreign service officer; and Orange Is The New Black’s Pablo Schreiber, who plays a fighter pilot.

John Larroquette, Aasif Mandvi, and Jaimie Alexander round out the rest of The Brink’s supporting cast. As of yet, the show does not have a premiere date.
