CBGB movie casts its Iggy Pop and Patti Smith, in keeping with how most of these casting decisions have been going
Randall Miller's CBGB continues to book its fake bands for the Halloween hoot night that is his planned biopic of the famed punk club, with Variety reporting that the latest additions include The Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki as Television mentor Terry Ork, The Borgias' Mickey Sumner as Patti Smith, and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins as Iggy Pop—a choice that would easily make Hawkins the most legitimately "punk" member of the cast by default, even were he still just playing for Alanis Morissette. They join a previously announced roster that already includes Alan Rickman as founder Hilly Kristal, Rupert Grint as Cheetah Chrome and Malin Akerman as Debbie Harry, and Angry Fiftysomething Guy Who's Too Old For That T-shirt And Thinks This Is All Hollywood Bullshit, Man as himself.
