Check out The Horrors' new track, "Still Life"
On 2009’s Primary Colours, The Horrors traded the flailing garage-punk of their debut, Strange House, for a dreamy, dolorous sound steeped in shoegaze and mopey Brit-pop textures. And judging by the just-released single “Still Life” from the band’s third, XL-released album, Skying, that evolution continues. It’s a stately, romantic throwback to the big ’80s hooks of groups like Simple Minds, Psychedelic Furs, and The Church, and it just might be the best thing The Horrors 2.0 has released so far. The new album drops July 26.
