Chris Fleming's first HBO special is on the way

First comes YouTube, then comes Peacock, then comes HBO. This, at least, is the case for comedian Chris Fleming, who announced today that his third standup special will debut on the network at the end of the month. Titled Live At The Palace, the special is certain to bring more of his unique blend of physical comedy, music, and observations about how Trader Joe’s likes to do things a little bit differently into living rooms across the nation.

“I hereby decree my first HBO special will soon be available for you to consume – please enjoy and feel free to dance along,” says Fleming in a press statement. “Thank you and thank you HBO!!” HBO also shared a teaser for the new special, which sees Fleming tackle topics like millennial horses and high school girls who carry knives to prom.

Live At The Palace is Fleming’s first special since 2023’s Hell, which streams on Peacock. Before that, their first hour, Showpig, debuted on YouTube in 2018. Outside of his standup, Fleming is well-known for their YouTube series Gayle, which sees the comedian perform as a high-strung Massachusetts mother, obsessed with cous-cous and Greek pianist Yanni.

Chris Fleming: Live At The Palace debuts on HBO and HBO Max on February 27.
