Colin Farrell to star opposite Denzel in new movie from the director of Nightcrawler

Colin Farrell and Denzel Washington might be teaming up for a new legal thriller. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Farrell and Washington are both in talks to star in Inner City, a new film from Nightcrawler director Dan Gilroy. The film would hinge on the contrast between Washington, playing a socially awkward legal analyst, and Farrell as the slick attorney who recruits him to work at his cutthroat law firm.

Farrell last appeared in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them; before that, he took his own awkward turn in Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Lobster. Washington, meanwhile, was recently nominated for an Oscar for his work on Fences. Before that, he starred in The Magnificent Seven, which received tepid reviews but a slightly warmer reception at the box office.
