You truly cannot keep a Daredevil down. After resurrecting Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock for Daredevil: Born Again last year, Disney and Marvel are back after a fairly reasonable gap of one year with season 2. We’ve known for a while that Krysten Ritter would return as Jessica Jones this season, but the new trailer, released today, offers some living, breathing proof. “I hope you can walk, because I’m not carrying you,” she says upon her return. The trailer features but one other line of dialogue, which Buck Cashman (Arty Froushan) says to Daniel Blake (Michael Gandolfini) upon opening a trunk: “Saw, or shovel?

The official synopsis for the season reads:

In Season 2, Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.

In addition to the return of Ritter, season 2 will also introduce Matthew Lillard as “the mysterious Mr. Charles.” Aside from Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Ayelet Zurer, Wilson Bethel, and Margarita Levieva will all return for season 2. 

Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+ on March 24. The season will run for 8 episodes.
