Daredevil’s season two costume looks a lot like his season one costume

This post contains plot details from the first season of Marvel’s Daredevil.

It wasn’t until the end of Daredevil’s first season that Matt Murdoch (Charlie Cox) finally secured his official costume, after he had his ass handed to him several times over and decided he need something tougher than a shirt between his skin and all the blades seeking to pierce it. In the second season, Daredevil will face Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Elodie Yung as Elektra, and probably more members of The Hand, a clan of ninjas known for giving serious beat-downs. Also, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) almost certainly will find a way to attack Daredevil from behind bars through the use of some deadly proxy. Basically, our blind hero has his work cut out for him, and unless he wants to spend more time on Rosario Dawson’s couch (though that’s not the worst place to recover), he better pack his big-boy suit.

In that spirit, the show’s Twitter account recently posted the first look at Daredevil’s costume for season two:

It appears to be the same one Murdoch acquired at the end of the first season, at least in this lighting. This surely will disappoint viewers who don’t like the look of the official costume and favor the original tactical wear, but remember that the suit likely will keep evolving throughout the course of the series. And also remember that not so long ago your only option for a live-action Daredevil was that crappy Ben Affleck movie, so how about a little gratitude?

Daredevil season two began shooting last month and will stream next April on Netflix.
