David Bowie’s final recordings to get suitably stellar limited-edition vinyl release
Back in January, a full year after David Bowie left us with the stellar final bow of Blackstar, we were gifted with No Plan, a four-track EP that includes his very last recordings, cut during sessions for Blackstar. Featuring “No Plan,” “Killing A Little Time,” “When I Met You,” and the Cast Album title track “Lazarus,” No Plan will now get a standard vinyl release available April 21.
To finally hear these tracks on vinyl will be a treat in itself, but even more exciting is that the album will also get a deluxe, made-to-order limited edition designed by Jonathan Barnbrook. The numbered die-cut package will include heavyweight 180g white vinyl, with special laser etching on the B-side and a 12″x12″ artwork lithograph, and will only be available in a one-time run to be released May 26.
Given that we’re seemingly still stumbling upon Blackstar’s many untold secrets, hopefully this deluxe edition will be filled with its own world of surprises. You can pre-order the standard vinyl here and the deluxe run here.
