David Yow, frontman of Scratch Acid and The Jesus Lizard, to star in upcoming indie film

David Yow, notoriously nude frontman of Scratch Acid and The Jesus Lizard, has been cast in a forthcoming indie movie, presumably in a role that requires him to wear pants. High And Outside: A Baseball Noir also stars Filter’s Richard Patrick and long-time character actor Geoff Lewis.

The film, which is (of course) raising money now on Kickstarter is based on the director’s experiences as the son of a Major League Baseball player who later become a controversial manager. According to a press release, it’s “the story of one man's dream to play professional baseball and the desperate measures he takes to keep that dream alive.”

This isn’t Yow’s first time in front of the camera: In recent years, he’s acted in a half-dozen indie films, including the award-winning short Sunday Punch and Big Money Rustlas, that cinematic triumph helmed by the Insane Clown Posse. When Yow’s not acting, singing, or dropping his pants, he’s a graphic designer in L.A.
