Die Hard 5 has a director, is actually happening
The fifth Die Hard film, which will finally tie its various mythological threads into a pretty little bow of profundity, has landed a director at last: Deadline reports that Die Hard 5 (clever subtitle to come) is now in the hands of Noam Murro, whose Dennis Quaid-starring debut Smart People proved he’s adept at handling overcompensating middle-aged men. Although an unlikely choice, Murro apparently impressed producers with his recent series of commercials for Halo: Reach; Murro will now oversee rewrites of a script by Skip Woods (The A-Team, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) that Vulture says has already disappointed Fox. "This car chase needs more moments of quiet desperation," Murro is probably saying right now.
