What a drag it is robbing homes. Lizzy Caplan learns the importance of stretching and the dangers of bathtubs in the trailer for the upcoming home-invasion comedy Drag. The film follows two sisters, played by Caplan and Lucy DeVito, who break into a luxurious home in rural upstate New York. It’s an easy job until Caplan throws her back out and the homeowner (John Stamos) unexpectedly returns. The trailer teases a home-heist thriller where, as the title implies, DeVito must drag Caplan out of the house without alerting the mysterious owner or his date (Christine Ko).

Written and directed by Raviv Ullman and Greg Yagolnitzer, Drag is both filmmakers’ first feature. Ullman is an actor from R.J. Decker, Broad City, and Criminal Minds; Yagolnitzer is a music video director best known for work with Green Day and Weezer. Since premiering at SXSW this year, the film has received solid reviews.

“I think the only option is to drag you out of here,” DeVito says. Trailer editors dream of a line like that. The premise is juicy, but who the sisters are hiding from remains a mystery. Is Stamos a killer? Is his date a stalker? Will DeVito drag Caplan to safety? All will be revealed when the film opens on January 29, 2027.
