Not a whole lot going on this week on the list, aside from a handful of solid-to-good indies, like Let Me In (the perhaps-too-faithful American adaptation of the Swedish vampire movie Let The Right One In), Never Let Me Go (the perhaps-too-dry adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s yearning semi-sci-fi novel) and Night Catches Us (the perhaps-too-earnest historical drama about two former Black Panthers moving back to a neighborhood where they’re no longer wholly welcome). The must-see movie of the week though is the documentary The Tillman Story, which looks back in anger at how people have distorted both the facts and the context of Pat Tillman’s “friendly fire” death in Afghanistan.
