Late Night was one of Sundance’s biggest success stories, with Mindy Kaling’s comedy selling to Amazon Studios for a gobsmacking $13 million. Kaling wrote and stars in the film, which follows her struggling writer as she joins the all-male writers’ room of an ailing late-night show hosted by an acerbic Emma Thompson.
John Hughes says the director called his Ferris Bueller performance "boring"
John Lithgow, Hugh Dancy, Amy Ryan, and Kaling’s The Mindy Project co-star Ike Barinholtz co-star, while TV director Nisha Ganatra (Girls, Mr. Robot) makes her feature directorial debut.
