Emmys combining two categories you don't care about into one category you don't care about

Deadline reports that the Emmys have just shaved off several life-eating minutes from all future broadcasts by finally combining Best Miniseries and Best Made For TV Movie, creating a single category you’ll have to sit through before they get to the good stuff. The decision was prompted by two years in a row of not having enough nominees to fill the miniseries category, with only The Pacific and Return To Cranford competing last year and Little Dorrit going up against Generation Kill in 2009. The newly expanded field will now include up to six nominees, with the award, as always, going to the miniseries or movie with the saddest diseases.
