Entenmann's deliciously awkward Twitter blunder
The Internet was ablaze this afternoon with the breaking news of the "not guilty" verdict in the Casey Anthony trial, but if Entenmann's is telling the truth, it had no idea what was going on. Strangely reminiscent of what went on after Kenneth Cole tweeted about the uprising in Egypt as a means of publicity for a new spring collection, today the Entenmann's Twitter account sent out this unfortunate use of the hashtag #notguilty:
That ruffled quite a few feathers, and the tweet has since been deleted by the account, with two apology messages in its place:
They say there's no such thing as bad press, but despite the quick apology, anyone who saw that one will probably do a double-take the next time they reach for that box of doughnut holes.
