Summer is rapidly approaching its hottest weeks, which means it’s best to get back indoors to your game console. Here to help with that plan is GameStop, who are still providing a few more precious hours to take advantage of their Game Days sale before it ends this Sunday, July 16. There’s no need to suffer the extreme temperatures when you could be inside kicking ass and reliving some of the greatest games ever. To help you live the dream, we’re running a series of contests on The A.V. Club, with each week providing a new chance to win. The prize? A $250 gift certificate to GameStop, whose huge summer sale will let you stock up on some great games.

This is the third and final week of our three contest installments. For round three, we’re looking at a few remastered modern classics, games that defined the last generation of consoles and are worth revisiting today.

  • BioShock: The Collection: With BioShock: The Collection, you’ll get remastered versions of not one, not two, but three of the most ambitious first-person shooters ever made. Plus, it comes jam-packed with extras, like director commentary from Ken Levine and every piece of singleplayer DLC the games ever received, including the excellent BioShock 2 sidestory Minerva’s Den.
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim—Special Edition: Let’s be honest. Even if you spent hundreds of hours sauntering around the snowy world of Skyrim back in 2011, there’s bound to be something in this massive, magical journey that you missed. Now’s your chance to get back in there and experience it all again with gorgeously reworked graphics.
  • Batman Return To Arkham: The Dark Knight starred in two of the best, most influential games of the last generation—Arkham Asylum and Arkham City—and Return To Arkham brings both of those brilliant adventures together in one package.
  • Borderlands: The Handsome Collection: How do you make a fast-paced, irreverent, co-op first-person shooter even better? You add sweet, sweet loot, of course. With two Borderlands games and oodles of wacky DLC included, The Handsome Collection is a perfect place to start for Vault Hunters both old and new.

Entering the contest is easy: Just send an email to avcontests@theonion.com and put “Summer Game Days” in the subject line. We’ll pick the winner at random, and soon you could be checking out these reborn modern classics.
