Synopsis

The BRAND NEW HEAVY is a coming-of-age story about a man who should've come of age a long time ago. "I'm a gangsta like my daddy", Ma'llard Vesuvius Rathbone III says -- hoping to convince himself that he's indeed like his villainous father. The late father insists his gay son collect his inheritance from the familys most difficult debtors to "make a man out of him". Ma'llard enlists a "Heavy" to help him with the task. Like nothing youve encountered on screen, THE BRAND NEW HEAVY packs a powerful dramatic punch -- as well as an intense comic kick in the side. Its a cinematic slap in the face to movie mediocrity. Itll assault your emotions, and pound away predictable notions of what a film hero is made of.
