Fox releases five-minute clip from Family Guy’s crossover with The Simpsons
Ah, Family Guy and The Simpsons. They’re not so much peanut butter and chocolate as they are peanut butter and a different brand of peanut butter, but that doesn’t mean they don’t taste great together. Sure, one might be creamy and the other might be chunky, and maybe one has been sitting out a little too long and you have to stir it a bit, but an unprecedented crossover episode between these two legendary brands of peanut butter should still be worth getting excited about.
During Family Guy’s Comic-Con panel, it finally gave us a glimpse of what this weird peanut butter mixture will actually look like by unveiling a five-minute highlight reel of the wacky shenanigans that are going to take place during its long-awaited crossover episode with The Simpsons. You’ll have to go to Entertainment Weekly to see the clip, but no matter how you feel about these two shows, it’s still fascinating to see how their worlds collide. Homer and Peter drink beer! Peter tries to make Homer set up a cutaway gag! Ralph shows up! There’s even an appearance from another star of Fox’s Animation Domination block, one who enjoyed a cartoon crossover of his own not too long ago.
Family Guy’s hour-long season premiere, featuring The Simpsons, will premiere on Fox on September 28.
