Franklin & Bash will go on Franklining and Bashing, like Franklin & Bash do
Ending a few tense months when it seemed it might all be over for Franklin & Bash, the TNT drama has smooth-talked its way back onto the summer schedule, in a way that is classic Bash and/or Franklin. The network renewed the series in which Breckin Meyer and Mark-Paul Gosselaar charmingly refuse to play by the conventions of practicing law—which, still not having seen the show, we assume involves things like presenting as their “expert witness” a bulldog in sunglasses, submitting sweet guitar solos as evidence, and citing the legal precedent of “Face vs. Hand,” stuff like that—all despite a dip in ratings that suggested, like so many uptight judges, the American public was growing weary of their courtroom capers. But you can’t keep Bash and occasionally Franklin down, so they’ll back for another 10 episodes of pure Franklining and Bashing next year.
