Friendlys go out looking for fun in new video
Chicago’s Friendlys isn’t a new band, as it released the seven-song Dabbing EP back in 2015, but it’s been relatively quiet since. That’s going to change this year, as the band preps for the release of Cooper’s Hawk, its first collection of new material in two years. Today, The A.V. Club is premiering a two-song video from the album, which sees Friendlys tearing through a pair of songs that sound like a noisy, psych-inspired version of Duster. The band will also play with LVL UP and Palm on February 25 at Beat Kitchen, and while the band doesn’t have a super active social media presence, you can expand your professional network by adding Friendlys on Linkedin.
