Grand Cousin gasps for air on “Oxygen”

Grand Cousin’s vocalist Henry Hall doesn’t try to downplay the fact that his mom is Julia Louis-Dreyfus; he even mentions it right in the band’s bio. But with the release of its self-titled EP, Grand Cousin is out to prove it can stand on its own. Kicking off with “Oxygen,” the debut displays the band’s reach by starting with a country stomp, before maneuvering into dreamy harmonies as Hall’s breathy vocals tie it all together.

Grand Cousin will be released on July 8. “Oxygen” can be streamed below.
