Introducing Endless Mode: A New Games & Anime Site from Paste
Late Night With Deborah Vance may have just blown up, but Hacks will be just fine. Max just renewed the series ahead of its season four finale, set to air this Thursday, May 29. Sarah Aubrey, Max’s head of original programming, summed the news up well in a statement: “Yes! More! We congratulate HACKS’ singularly talented cast and crew and our great partners at Universal Television.”
Season four hasn’t experienced any of the same struggle for ratings that Late Night With Deborah Vance has dealt with in its initial outing. In a press release, the network claimed that this installment is primed to be the series’ most successful yet, with every new episode attracting more viewers than the one that came before.
Deborah (Jean Smart) and Ava (Hannah Einbinder), of course, haven’t been so lucky. No spoilers here, but the future of Hacks‘ show-within-the-show has never been nearly as secure as Hacks‘ own. While Deborah fights to prove herself to the network, Smart has already won three Emmys for playing the part. She’s not the only one; the show has been nominated for 48 statues overall, with nine total wins, including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2024. Deborah and Ava may have a long way to go to reach those heights, but at least the pair will have a few more chances after whatever goes down in the season four finale. In the meantime, you can check out the rest of our season four coverage here.
