Happy holidays from The A.V. Club
As you can tell from the incipient drought of news topics and also the calendar, the holidays are fast approaching, and with them the onset of reduced hours here at The A.V. Club. And while the site will continue to update with new content—including the final two installments of our Holiday Undercover series, our lists of the year’s best video games, podcasts, and books, plus interviews with Michelle Williams, Jon Lovitz, and Chris Hardwick—certain other areas will naturally slow down, Newswire among them. Should anything major happen that we feel like we absolutely need to talk about, of course, one of us will step in and do that. But otherwise, we (by which I mean me) are taking the next couple of weeks off from monitoring our RSS feeds starting right now, then returning to regular hours on January 3.
Anyway, on a personal note, a completely sincere thanks for reading this section throughout 2010 (whether or not you always enjoyed doing so), and I look forward to sharing with you all the news of remakes, famous people getting arrested, Guillermo del Toro doing stuff, and other assorted daily minutiae of 2011 just as soon as I return. Happy holidays.
