Happy-if-true-rumor: Friday Night Lights close to renewal

Entertainment Weekly's Matt Ausiello, who generally knows what he's talking about, is reporting that Friday Night Lights is close to being renewed. Good, right? It might be even better than good:

But there's a catch — and it's a good one. According to an insider close to the negotiations, DTV and NBC might only seal the deal if they can get – holy Connie Britton Taylor! — a two-season pickup.

Ausiello has more details, including a possible snag involving overcommitted showrunner Jason Katims, over at his column. But, hey, even complicated good news is still good news where FNL is concerned, right?
