HBO buys Tracey Ullman sketch show, sets Pete Holmes and T.J. Miller specials
Last March, we reported that Tracey Ullman was taking her sketch comedy talents to the BBC for a new six-part comedy series. At the time, there was no plan to bring the show over to the U.S., but now HBO has announced that it will begin airing Tracey Ullman’s Show on October 28. This move reunites Ullman with the network that aired her Tracey Takes On… series in the ’90s. and According to Deadline the new sketch show features Ullman “playing various characters…including Dame Judi Dench and Angela Merkel.”
