HBO lost $35 million by canceling Luck
There continues to be a lot of flogging a dead horse around Luck's cessation of flogging dead horses: Time Warner added to the seemingly never-ending negative publicity surrounding the show's abrupt cancellation by revealing today that it lost around $35 million in scrapping the show. That figure accounts for impairment charges, production and publicity costs it will never recoup, and the countless bales of costly hay to feed Nick Nolte, who has been removed to a sanctuary upstate. Anyway, we suppose you could say Luck was a "losing gamble," if you're into puns and stuff.
