The merged Warner Bros./Paramount streamer will keep HBO's CEO

With fewer and fewer obstacles standing in the way of the merger of Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery, the companies are preparing to merge their staffs, too. This inevitably means that a lot of people are going to lose their jobs, even if they have a pretty senior position. Case in point: Cindy Holland, the head of Paramount+, is out, with Casey Bloys, head of HBO, taking on the streaming operations for the combined company. “David [Ellison] is optimizing for HBO stability as we move into this next chapter, and I fully support that,” wrote Holland in a memo to staff yesterday, per Variety. “I know this team has the leadership and expertise to manage through the transition and the next phase of the company, and to this end today will mark my last day here.”
