HBO will get its fourth season of Eastbound And Down

Much like Kenny Powers himself, HBO's Eastbound And Down has narrowly escaped death: The network confirmed late yesterday that the Danny McBride-starring show has been picked up for a fourth season, despite rumors that the third season would be its last—rumors that mostly originated with McBride and co-creator Jody Hill, when they said as much, using English words. Though HBO had long been pushing for this, neither McBride nor Hill has commented yet on why they had the change of heart after saying they'd envisioned Eastbound as a three-season arc, after McBride avowed that they'd always imagined it as something they would "keep short and not give it a chance to get old," and after telling Entertainment Weekly earlier this year, "There is other stuff we'd like to do." But whatever the reason—and how many zeros it had after it—Kenny Powers is now set to return for another eight episodes of digging himself out of his deepest hole yet. You may now use this unexpected resurrection to begin petitioning for all those other unlikely HBO show revivals you've been demanding, such as 1st And Ten.
