Soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo finally gets statue that captures his hotness

While we’re in the process of tearing down this country’s Confederate monuments, we may as well toss all these celebrity statues, too. From Lucille Ball to Kurt Cobain to Anton Yelchin, these abominations not only sully the legacies of their subjects, but also scare the daylights out of anyone in their general vicinity. The greatest sculptural sin, however, came earlier this year when a bronze bust of Portuguese soccer play Cristiano Ronaldo turned the athlete’s sharp, handsome face into the Toxic Avenger.

Well, all the grimaces and memes didn’t go unheard, because a new bust of the soccer player has debuted at the Real Madrid Museum and, well, let’s just say, yes, this will do.

The new, very handsome statue was made by artist José Antonio Navarro Arteaga, who replaced the original sculptor, Emanuel Santos. As for Santos’ sculpture, the Betway Insider reports that it was bought by an “Argentinian man living in Spain.”

One can only imagine what other horrors live inside that house.
