Serial podcast fever is sweeping the nation (and The A.V. Club). The This American Life spin-off applies the journalistic skills of its host program to a long-form investigation told across multiple episodes. The highly engrossing tale raises more questions than answers (Who placed that mysterious tip call? Why didn’t Jay call Stephanie on her birthday? When will Deirdre get her own podcast?), but a new collection of charts helps keep things simple.
It all started in September when the Twitter account This American Chart, run by Michelle Rial, began distilling This American Life into easy-to-understand charts.
Rial also gently pokes fun at beloved TAL host Ira Glass.
And now Rial has started creating Serial-themed charts as well. In addition to sharing them via Twitter, Rial also created an exclusive set of Serial images for the online magazine The Bold Italic. You can check out the full collection there and two of our favorites below.
