Interpol announces new album Marauder with press conference and tour dates
Interpol spent most of last year touring in honor of the 15th anniversary of Turn On The Bright Lights, but for the first time since El Pintor in 2014, Interpol is back with a brand new album. Titled Marauder, the album was announced with a 45-minute black-and-white press conference from Mexico City that features the band answering questions about the new album and a weird moment where Ebon Moss-Bachrach from Girls and The Punisher just kind of shows up and has a quiet moment with the band while everyone waits patiently. (It happens about 24 minutes into the video below.)
You can hear the first single, “The Rover,” in the video, and you can also buy it at this link. Beyond that stuff, Interpol has also announced a new string of international tour dates, focusing primarily on Europe with a Tokyo show and a handful of U.S. stops thrown in for good measure. You can see those below.
