There are a whole bunch of different conceptual threads that run through Prime Video’s animated superhero series Invincible—romance, drama, angsty and incredibly violent superhero action, and more—but one of the purest is its love for a dose of good, old-fashioned situation comedy. Take, for instance, this exclusive clip from the fourth episode of the show’s fourth season (which debuts on Wednesday, March 25), in which Steven Yeun’s Mark Grayson and Clancy Brown’s demonic Damien Darkblood get caught up on some very tiny minutiae while falling through a big hole in Hell.

It’s the sort of “Hey, this is weird, right?” conversation Invincible hasn’t had quite as much time for of late, what with all the multidimensional killers, brain-sucking parasites, and evil mustache men constantly flying around and murdering folks. Which makes it genuinely kind of nice getting to hear Yeun get to work his comedy chops for a minute, bouncing off of a veteran Brown as he deadpans about why the demons of Hell have such interesting hats. (It’s also, in a relative rarity for the series, a bit wholly original to the animated show; in fact, the entirety of episode 4 is an original idea that doesn’t originate from Robert Kirkman’s long-running comic.)

New Invincible episodes go live on Prime Video every Wednesday morning at 3 a.m. Eastern. The first three episodes of the season are currently out.
