As part of Paramount Insurge, J.J. Abrams’ production company Bad Robot occasionally strays from big-budget action movies to produce smaller high-concept films. One of these upcoming productions is Valencia, the story of a girl who wakes up in a cellar after a car accident to find she’s accompanied only by a strange companion. John Goodman is currently in talks to portray said stranger, who tells the girl that society has been destroyed by a nuclear disaster. Abrams will produce, with Dan Trachtenberg directing. Goodman has worked with Paramount and bad robots before, with his latest projects including voicing a Transformer.
