Yes, Biden's surrogates may have oversold his acuity, Stewart says, but he's not the president anymore.

It’s the day everyone has been waiting for: Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson’s book Original Sin, detailing President Joe Biden’s declining mental state in the final year of his presidency and the failed reelection bid is here. CNN, where Tapper works, has been hawking the hell out of this thing, as Jon Stewart points out during Monday’s broadcast of The Daily Show, continuing to tease the bombshell revelations the book purportedly contains, even after the Biden family shared the former president’s cancer diagnosis on Sunday. “Forgetting about the fact how fucking weird it is that the news is selling you a book about news they should have told you was news a year ago for free—” Stewart begins to rapturous applause, “It’s just fun to watch them not only continue to push the book in light of difficult news, but to actually frame this difficult news as perhaps even more of a reason to buy this book.”
