Like a random assortment of people thrown together by cataclysmic circumstance, bound by destiny to find the group hug that will finally give their lives meaning, the cast and creators of Lost continue to find new ways to work together. Today it’s Jorge “Hurley” Garcia, who’s signed on to star in J.J. Abrams’ new Fox pilot Alcatraz as “the hippy geek Dr. Diego Soto” (we think Deadline means "hippie"—although Jorge Garcia is certainly hippy as well), who will help an FBI team track down and unravel the mystery behind a group of missing prisoners and guards from the island-based maximum security center, who disappeared 30 years ago and have suddenly reappeared in the present day. Islands, flashbacks, time travel, Jorge Garcia—all it needs are a few Christian metaphors and it’s set.
