Judy Greer to play long-suffering Judy Greer role in new indie drama
Despite excellent turns in shows like Arrested Development and Archer, Judy Greer has fallen into an odd niche lately. In Jurassic World, Ant-Man, Masters Of Sex, and Married, Greer plays the long-suffering wife of a frustrating husband. In some of those, that rocky relationship with her husband also impacts her kids, who then have to deal with their parents’ marriage troubles alongside the Indominus Rex or Yellowjacket or whatever.
Now, according to Deadline, Greer has just signed up for another one of these classic Judy Greer-type roles, starring alongside Luke Wilson in Measure Of A Man as—you guessed it—a long-suffering wife whose rocky relationship with her husband has started “impacting their children.” Measure Of A Man is based on the YA book One Fat Summer, and it primarily focuses on Greer and Wilson’s kids as they deal with their parents’ problems. Luckily, they’re not also being chased by the Indominus Rex, so they already have things a little easier than the kids in Jurassic World and maybe shouldn’t complain too much.
