Julie Andrews thinks she's retired from on-screen acting 

Now 90 years old, legendary actress Dame Julie Andrews has announced that she “think[s]” she’s retired from on-screen acting. Andrews, who released her 35th children’s book, Shy, co-authored with daughter Emily Walton Hamilton today, tells InStyle, despite Disney’s best attempts, she’s all but done with appearing on screen. This is perhaps good news for fans of her voice work, particularly as the leviathan Karathen in Aquaman. However, fans holding out hope that Andrews would grace The Princess Diaries 3 with her presence should find a new cause. The Mary Poppins star says the creative team spent “all last year” trying to get the crown back on her royal majesty Clarisse Renaldi’s head to no avail. “It was very, very hard to say ‘no,’ but I did because I thought I had a wonderful ride, and this one I felt would flourish very well and wouldn’t need Granny going in there at my age.”
